Our Promise to You

This site was designed with the professional in mind and we respect your right to privacy. But sometimes we do need information to provide services that you request, and this privacy statement explains data collection and use in those situations. This privacy statement only applies to ChiroACCESS; it does not apply to other online or offline sites, products or services. Please read the complete ChiroACCESS privacy statement.

Collection of Personal Information

Visitors to our Web site can access the Web site's home page, and browse some areas of the site, without disclosing any personally identifiable information. We do track information provided to us by your browser, including the Web site you came from (known as the "referring URL"), the type of browser you use, the time and date of access, and other information that does not personally identify you. At ChiroACCESS, you must register with us to use the entire site.

Customers registering for services on our Web site are asked to provide us with identifying information, such as name, gender, contact information, and other identifying information. On our registration screen, we clearly label which information is required for registration, and which information is optional and may be given at your discretion. ChiroACCESS will ask for the user's consent before collecting personally identifiable information.

ChiroACCESS also collects information about which pages our members visit within ChiroACCESS. This site visitation data is identified only by a unique ID number, and it is never linked with personal information.

Use of your Personal Information

The information you supply to ChiroACCESS is utilized to direct the editorial and research content of the site to you and other members who are interested in specific subject matter. We also track the sections you use most often to help us determine where we should invest more development effort and improve the site.

Information supplied to ChiroACCESS by students, faculty, health professionals and doctors will not be released, distributed or sold to any organization or vendor.

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To ensure our site is relevant to your needs
  • To deliver services, such as literature searches, news and information that you request
  • To help us create and publish content most relevant to you
  • To alert you to special offers, updated information and other new services from Action Potential Inc. and ChiroACCESS, if you so request
  • To allow you access to limited-entry areas of our site as appropriate

Action Potential Inc. may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Action Potential Inc. or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Action Potential Inc. and its family of Web sites, or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of Action Potential Inc. employees, users of Action Potential Inc. products or services, or members of the public.

Control of your Personal Information

When you register, or otherwise give us personal information, ChiroACCESS will not share that information with third parties without your permission, other than for the limited exceptions already listed. It will only be used for the purposes stated above.

Registering also allows you to tell us how or whether you want ChiroACCESS to communicate with you. After registering, go to your Home Page and establish your preferences. There, you can decide what information you want to receive and how you want to receive it.

ChiroACCESS may send out periodic e-mails informing you of information services or current research. These mailing are optional and can be controlled under your preferences section at your Home Page.

Access to your Personal Information

We will provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current.

Security of your Personal Information

ChiroACCESS is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Use of Cookies

Cookies are a technology used by ChiroACCESS to identify a user as the user moves through the Web site. Your browser allows us to place some information on your computer's hard drive that identifies the computer you are using. We use cookies to personalize our Web sites and to track your usage across all of our Web sites.

Your Web browser can be set to allow you to control whether you will accept cookies, reject cookies, or to notify you each time a cookie is sent to you. If your browser is set to reject cookies, Web sites that are cookie enabled will not recognize you when you return to the Web site, and some Web site functionality may be lost. The Help section of your browser will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting cookies.

Although cookies do not normally contain personally identifiable information, if you are a registered user we may associate your registration information with cookies our Web site places on your computer's hard drive. Associating a cookie with your registration data allows us to offer increased personalization and functionality. For example, you can elect to have our Web sites "remember" your user name and password and bypass the sign-in process on each visit to the site. Without cookies, this functionality would not be possible.

ChiroACCESS will not use cookies or any other technology to track the activity of our members outside of our online community.

ChiroACCESS will occasionally update this privacy statement. When we do, we will also revise the "revision date" at the top of the privacy statement. For material changes to this statement, ChiroACCESS will notify you by placing prominent notice on the Web site.
