Las Vegas, NV  – Parker Seminars recently held its largest event of the year—Parker Seminars Las Vegas where doctors of chiropractic, chiropractic students, and chiropractic assistants attended. This year’s theme, Empower your Life, Empower your Practice, is exactly what attendees set out to do while attending classes filled with innovative chiropractic technique and business practices.

The seminar included developmental tracks that provided guidance through specific challenges and promoted progress based on the length of time the attendee has been in the chiropractic profession. Courses ranged from topics on communicating chiropractic with certainty to pediatric evaluation made easy, the ultimate business crash course for DCs and staff, and more.

Some of the biggest names in chiropractic provided tips on health, wellness, patient communication, marketing, philosophy, and more. Keynote speakers included Dr. Liz Anderson-Peacock, Dr. John Demartini, Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, Dr. Patrick Gentempo, Heidi Farrell, Dr. Nido Qubein, Dr. Joe Mercola, Brandi MacDonald, Dr. Terry Yochum, Dr. James Chestnut, and Dr. Wayne Dyer, an internationally renowned author and speaker in the field of self-development.

Additional speakers included Dr. Michael Hall, JJ Virgin, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Dr. Billy DeMoss, Dr. Troy Dukowitz, Dr. Amber Brooks, Brenda Frederiksen, and many more.

Parker Seminars introduced its newly appointed president, Dr. Brian J. McAulay, DC, PhD, during the opening session of the seminar.

“Dr. Parker established a long-standing tradition with Parker Seminars and I’m so very proud to be a part of this rich tradition,” said Dr. McAulay. “I feel like I need to pinch myself to see if this is real.  This is a dream come true for me and I am very excited about the future.”

In addition to naming a new president to lead Parker University and Parker Seminars, Parker also acknowledged thirteen years of dedicated service from Dr. Fabrizio Mancini by awarding him with the highest honor available, the president emeritus award.  This status is reserved for past presidents of higher education institutions that are interested in recognizing a president that has taken the institution to new levels of success.

“I have known Brian for a long time and I have a tremendous amount of respect for his ability to take Parker into the future,” said Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president emeritus of Parker University and Parker Seminars. “He brings a unique set of qualities to the position, with his deep experience in higher education and his strong chiropractic foundation.  He is well respected throughout the profession and I am confident that he will be extremely successful.”

The seminar also offered enlivening social events such as the Chiropractic Assistants Meeting and Breakfast, Rockin’ Round Tables, Parker Get Fit—yoga workout, World Congress of Women Chiropractors (WCWC) Meeting, and more.

Attendees also enjoyed the biggest chiropractic expo in the world where more than 240 exhibitors displayed the latest industry products and technologies.

“Parker Seminars is the gathering place for the profession,” said Dr. McAulay. “It is the central meeting place for everyone involved with chiropractic. Thousands of chiropractors have come to rely on Parker Seminars for inspiration, education, and networking. We plan to continue this tradition while looking to add more value to the attendees, speakers, and exhibitors.”

In addition to the speaker sessions, special events, and the exhibitor hall, this year’s seminar festivities featured the Starlight Soirée, which was held to raise proceeds for Parker University student scholarships, faculty development, and campus enhancements.

Parker Seminars will host Parker Seminars Montreal from April 18–20, 2013. To register or for more information, visit www.parker.edu/parker-seminars/.
