Pasadena, TX - Dr. Michael Ramcharan was named the Texas Chiropractic College Faculty Member of the Year on Aug. 21 as part of the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce Salute to Education. TCC Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Steve Foster presented the award to Dr. Ramcharan as part of the celebration in which the Deer Park Independent School District and San Jacinto College Central honored their top instructors as well.
“I thank Dr. Ramcharan for having such a positive impact on the educational experiences of our students and the tremendous job he has already done in his two years at TCC,” said Dr. Foster. Dr. Ramcharan has been a member of the Texas Chiropractic College faculty since May 2011, teaching in the department of clinical reasoning and therapeutics. He is also the Assistant Dean, Division of Technique, Principles and Therapeutics and is an active researcher in the areas of public health policy, infection and cultural competency. “Dr. Ramcharan is an excellent teacher because he genuinely cares about students. He challenges us every day and helps us relate every scenario into real clinical experiences,” TCC student Lyndy Neale said. “Each lecture experience is interactive and fully engages us so that we may start thinking like doctors.”
